Comic "Linie, Druck und Spiel"

With this book, Jeff Hemmer presents the result of his one-year residence at Kulturhuef. From June 2023 to June 2024, he was on site in Grevenmacher several times for one or two weeks at a time to work on his residence project and offer comic workshops.

The starting point of his work was the desire to deal with the topic of narrative and to work with different printing techniques.

This book is a kind of fragmented report of his residence. Nevertheless, it is not a pure documentation. Not everything happened exactly as he tells it here. Some scenes are fictitious, others have been heavily edited.

With this book, Jeff Hemmer presents the result of his one-year residence at Kulturhuef. Between June 2023 and June 2024, he was on site in Grevenmacher several times for one or two weeks at a time to work on his residency project and offer comic workshops.

For the facsimile edition, all printed sheets of the original were scanned and reproduced unchanged, including the texts in the epilogue. The information on the various papers and printing techniques described there refers to the hand-bound original edition (Japanese thread stitching) and does not apply to the facsimile edition. The latter was printed entirely in offset printing on matt art paper (130g) and appears as a magazine with spine stitching. The format of the facsimile edition is slightly larger (17 x 24 cm instead of approx. 17 x 21 cm).
